Chuncheon National University of Education (CNUE) recorded the highest application-to-admission ratio among all national universities of education in Korea for the 2026 regular admissions cycle, reaffirming strong applicant confidence and interest.

As of the application deadline on December 31, 2025, CNUE received 590 applications for 128 available places, resulting in a competitiveness ratio of 4.61:1, the highest among peer institutions nationwide. This outcome reflects the University’s strong educational competitiveness and forward-looking admissions policies.

The achievement is attributed in part to proactive and rational reforms to the admissions system, including improvements to how CSAT scores are evaluated, aimed at reducing applicant burden.

CNUE will continue efforts to ease admissions-related pressures on students and families while building an optimal learning environment and systematic support framework to help talented students grow into future leaders in education.

CNUE also previously recorded the highest competitiveness among national universities of education during the early admissions cycle, demonstrating sustained applicant preference.
