Professor Mihwa Hong of the Department of Social Studies Education donated KRW 3 million to the CNUE Development Fund on December 29, 2025, and pledged ongoing support for students through the Bitsol Scholarship (Department of Social Studies Education Scholarship).

Professor Hong stated, “I wanted to do my part for students in the Department of Social Studies Education, and plan to continue sponsoring scholarships over the coming years.”

The Bitsol Scholarship will provide annual living-expense scholarships totaling KRW 1 million (KRW 500,000 per student) to two enrolled students in the Department of Social Studies Education and will continue until the donated principal is fully utilized.

A University representative said, “We are deeply grateful to Professor Hong for her consistent generosity. We will manage the scholarship responsibly and ensure it is used meaningfully in accordance with her wishes.”
